Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and Tab S 10.5 Debut Tomorrow in Europe

The last couple of months were full of Galaxy Tab S rumors and leaks. After the South Korean manufacturer officially unveiled their Samsung Galaxy Tab S tablets during the Galaxy Premiere event last month now we hear about their European debut.

Samsung has officially confirmed that both the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 will go on sale on the European market tomorrow, July 5th. As you may know, both tablets were made available in the US on June 27th.

As a refresher, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S devices are powered by Exynos 5 Octa 5420 chipsets based on a quad-core 1.9 GHz Cortex A15 + 1.3 GHz Cortex A7 CPU combo and Mali T628 MP6 GPU. Both tablets arrive with 3 GB of RAM, 16/32 GB of native storage expandable with up to 128 GB using microSD cards, and both run Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box, customized with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI. Tab S 8.4 has a 4,900 mAh battery, while its bigger brother is kept alive by a 7,900 mAh cell.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 features a 10.5-inch Super AMOLED screen with 1600 x 2560 resolution and 288 ppi. The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 packs an 8.4-inch Super AMOLED panel that shares the same 1600 x 2560 resolution, but has a higher pixel density of 350 ppi. They also arrive with 8 MP primary cam, and 2.1 MP user-facing shooter.

Connectivity-wise, the two tablets arrive with LTE, WiFi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, IR blaster, and microUSB 2.0. It’s also worth noting that the LTE-enabled Galaxy Tab S models are underpinned by a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor.
