iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus invade many other markets today
The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus may already be sold out in the first launch markets, but Apple on Friday is launching its 2014 smartphones in a second wave of countries. Customers in more than 20 markets will be able to purchase one of the new iPhone 6 models starting today either online or in local Apple retail stores.
The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will be available in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey and United Arab Emirates, in addition to the first wave launch markets. Interested buyers should hurry up to and get their chosen flavors as fast as possible, as supply might be limited at first.
Apple already sold more than 10 million combined iPhone 6 units during its launch weekend last year, 4 million of which were sold in the first 24 hours of preorders. In the first countries the iPhone 6 is available in, customers who didn’t purchase an iPhone 6 unit already have to wait a few days, or even weeks for iPhone 6 Plus, if ordering one right now.
By the end of the year, Apple will bring the iPhone to 115 markets.
