iPhones are notorious devices. We love the simplicity of the phone but there are a few things which are extremely difficult to do about the device. Especially if you want to do something that Apple does not want you to do. Accessing the Admin files is one of them, but another big problem is the data connectivity on the device. Since most of these phones are US based and imported elsewhere they do not support the data connectivity right out of the box for some carriers. For example if you are on a Vodafone SIM in India and do not wish to subscribe to an exclusive iPhone data pack and use the normal data plan which admittedly are cheaper then it becomes bit of a problem. To help you do this you need to install a new APN to your iPhone. this is a very simple process if you know what you are doing. Here are the steps you must follow:
Step 1) Make sure you do not have any sort of Cellular data running on your iPhone. Connect it to Wi-Fi and also make sure that you have 3G or 2G activated on your iPhone.
Step 2) Once you are done with the first step, head over to Safari.
Step 3) In the Address Bar type, ‘unlockit.co.nz’.
Step 4) After that on the page that opens click on Create IPN.
Step 5) On the following page, select your country and the carrier whose SIM you have inserted in the iPhone.
Step 6) A profile would be created which you must now save, so click on Save profile and you are set to go.
Step 7) Reboot your iPhone and enjoy 3G or 2G on your device.
Note: Do not try this trick if you are using a carrier locked iPhone.
hope this little trick would help you enjoy the goodness of your iPhone a lot more. Do let us know what you think of it in section below or tweet in to me at @techverarp
