The Galaxy S4 Zoom, Samsung’s first Android camera phone, is now receiving the highly anticipated Android 4.4.2 KitKat update. According to the folks at Sammobile, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom Android 4.4.2 KitKat update is currently pushed to the users located in Russia.
The Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom has build number C101XXUBNF4 and, as usual it’s being rolled out in stages, meaning that some of you might not be able to download and install it right away.
Once your Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom becomes available to receive the new firmware update, you should be able to see a system update message in the notification bar. Tap on it, then follow the on-screen instructions. In case the system update notification failed to show up, you would also want to perform a manual check under Settings > About phone > Software updates > Check for software updates. Alternatively, you can grab the USB cable, connect your smartphone to the PC, then check for the new firmware through KIES.
The Android 4.4.2 update for Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom arrive with the usual KitKat stuff like transparent status and nav bars, white status bar icons, immersive mode, new Location menu, cloud printing, full screen album and movie art in the lock screen, or color emoji support, along with performance boosts, better battery life, updated Samsung apps, and enhanced Samsung Keyboard.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom Android 4.4.2 KitKat update file has a size of over 800 MB, therefore it’s highly recommended to use a WiFi network while downloading it to avoid unwanted data charges.
