Apple has updated its MacBook Pro laptops with new faster processors and more memory, for a cheaper price.
The company said the updates will double the memory for entry-level MacBook Pro Retina screen notebooks. Apple will lower the price of the model from $1,199 to $1,099.
The updated notebooks received its price-cut right on time for back-to-school shopping season. Strong MacBook sales had much to do with Apple's successful quarter.
The company is also gearing up for the release of its new edition of its operating system, OS X Yosemite, version 10.10. The beta has already been released for the public.
Besides the MacBook Pro line and its operating system, Apple has also made updates to its iPod Touch and added a new iMac desktop line.
The low-end MacBook Pro will be cheaper but it is not the cheapest MacBook choice.
This cut in price comes after Apple previously dropped the price for another one of their products; the MacBook Air.
The 11-inch MacBook Air has been updated with a 1.4GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor, 4GB of RAM, and a 128GB of storage. The $899 (originally $999) and the 256GB $1,099 (originally $1,199) version's battery life have been increased by an extra hour.
The new models' processors will work with its OS X Mavericks operating system to provide 12 hours of battery life on the 13-inch models and 9 hours for the 11-inch laptops.
The company is addressing the publics concern about the high price of owning powerful PCs. Their reduce in price will make it easier for everyone to be able to experience the power of the MacBook.
Besides that, there aren't any other huge changes in regards to the inners of the MacBook air. Apple actually has mentioned the possibility that they will release a new 12-inch MacBook in the coming months with a new design and more changes compared to the current designs.
