"Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" is moving from one Midwestern city to another later this year,Batman-News reports.
A stunt scene that was originally scheduled to be shot in Detroit has reportedly been moved to Chicago for a late October date, according to a recent tweet by a Chicago Tribune journalist.
Chicago has been become a popular destination for comic book films in recent years, as "Man of Steel" and Christopher Nolan's "Dark Knight Trilogy" films also found Chicago to be a suitable backdrop.
Meanwhile, OLV reports that businesses around Detroit's Corktown district have been informed that a movie will be shooting in their area from Aug. 6-9, adding to be on the lookout for "fast moving cars."
According to the report, shops around "Shelby St from W Larned St to Lafayette and Fort Street from Woodward to Washington Blvd" have received the notice, which notes that there won't be any explosions. Considering "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" has been shooting in Detroit since May, it seems like a good bet this is for the Warner Bros. comic book film.
Furthermore, Batman-News reported a few months ago that the Batmobile could be involved in a car chase scene this summer.
"Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" will star Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor. Supporting actors that have joined the cast include Ray Fisher (Cyborg), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Jeremy Irons (Alfred Pennyworth), Laurence Fishburne (Perry White), Diane Lane (Martha Kent), Holly Hunter, Tao Okamoto, Scoot McNairy and Callan Mulvey.
The film is scheduled to hit theaters on May 6, 2016 in the U.S.
