Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4 is primed to be one of the highest quality smartphones the company has ever produced, and now reports are coming in that it might see a release shortly before the iPhone 6. According to ET News, the Galaxy Note 4 was rushed into production after the Galaxy S5 underperformed during its launch window, forcing Samsung to rethink its strategy for the rest of the year.
Whereas the Galaxy Note 3 was released at the end of September last year, the Note 4 should make its debut at the beginning of the month this year. Mass production of the initial 5 million Galaxy Note 4 units should begin next month as several manufacturing partners have apparently been notified.
The Galaxy Note 4 is expected to feature a plastic case, but a premium model of the phone might come in metal. As for specifications, the phablet should also contain either a quad- or octa-core processor, a Quad HD (2K) display, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a 16-megapixel rear camera and a 4-megapixel front-facing camera.
There are plenty of other potential features that Samsung has teased that we probably won’t receive confirmation on until the official announcement, such as an eye scanneror a 64-bit processor.
