Google Play Store 4.9.13 Update Brings Material Design UI and Content Pages

The Google Play Store version 4.9.13 update is rolling out starting today for all users. It is the first update that features Material Design interface elements that will be the main attraction point of the future Android 5.0 L release in autumn.

The Material Design UI has been presented for the first time at Google I/O event last month in June. Google Play Store with Material Design UI should set the trend for numerous other apps that will surely be updated soon enough.

The Google Play Store 4.9.13 version is currently rolling out in phases and it might take a while before all Android devices will get these changes. All the new things added by this update are bringing a much more refreshed UI for the content pages of the apps. After you get the update the first thing that you should do would be to go to Google Play Store app and search for a favorite application, check the new contents page and see if you like the new cleaner interface.

A major change supported by the Material Design UI update would be the video trailers for apps now showing up at the top of the app pages. Also, by tapping the ‘Read More’ button you will be able to see advanced app details such as: last update date, apk download size, app version, ‘Top Developer’ text-badge, content rating, downloads, and a much bigger app description.

The ‘Share’ button in Google Play Store 4.9.13 has been moved below under the ‘reviews’ and star rating sections, right next to the “+1″ Google+ button. This new update works and can be installed right now on all Android 2.2 and later devices.

Note that the update is rolled out in phases, you might not get the new files right away, but expect Google to roll it out by the end of this month for everyone.
