So you’re caught in the subway with no cell phone service and want to stay occupied. You fire up a game on your smartphone and get ready to enjoy some time-killing action, but you just find out that the app you downloaded earlier from the Play Store only works when you’re connected to the internet.
Well Google has decided to help you avert this crisis by creating a special section dedicated to offline games.
What’s kind of surprising is the amount of games, or lack thereof, that work untethered from the internet: only 54 titles total. That’s it.
That’s a pretty unimpressive offline library, considering the myriad games that are available in total on the Play Store. Even so, there are some worthwhile titles you can play without a data connection of any sort:Assassin’s Creed Pirates, Dots, Asphalt 8, and Jetpack Joyride.
Are there any offline Android games that you would suggest? What are some of your favorites?
