iOS 7.1.2 Update Issues Exist On iPhone, iPad: 7.1.3 Release Coming Before iOS 8?

iOS 7.1.2 has caused its fair share of issues for users, with Phones Review recently reporting that the update has been extra troublesome for those using the iPhone 5S, with the usual battery drain concerns, Wi-Fi problems, freezes and such.

During the installation process of 7.1.2, users are also reporting on Reddit that their iPhone is freezing midway through — with some devices shutting down completely, requiring a reboot and forcing users to start the download from the start again. If you have experienced this issue, however, the users have noted all you need to do is perform a hard reset, which involves holding the home button and Power button simultaneously, to get the download to update properly after.

Other reported concerns with the update have come with issues to camera, iMessage and getting VPNs to work correctly, according to Gotta Be Mobile.

However, it remains to be seen if Apple will even release an iOS 7.1.3 update to fix these bugs with iOS 8's fall release not that far off. Apple has admitted to a pesky calendar issue in 7.1.2, so it would stand to reason that if it will be resolved in the next available download, a 7.1.3 release is still a good possibility for August — though this just speculation.

4.) Select Reset All Settings

5.) Enter your password (if necessary)
