More than a month ago, the folks at LG officially introduced their flagship smartphone for 2014, the highly-appreciated LG G3. Even though the handset was made available for purchase in South Korea only days after the launch event, the G3 has yet to debut on the US market.
AT&T have revealed on their official website that they will start accepting pre-orders for the LG G3 and the Android Wear-powered LG G Watch starting today, also mentioning that both the smartphone and the smartwatch will become available for purchase as of July 11th.
According to the AT&T press release, the LG G Watch will have a price tag of $229, while the LG G3 is available for $199 after signing a two-year contract with the carrier. You can also get your hands on the smartphone for zero down and split the payment in $24.17 monthly fees with AT&T Next 18, or zero down and $29 per month with AT&T Next 12. The device is available in Metallic Black and Silk White.
As a refresher, the LG G3 features a 5.5-inch display with Quad HD (1440 x 2560) resolution and 534 ppi, a quad-core 2.5 GHz Snapdragon 801 processor, 13 MP rear-facing camera with OIS and laser autofocus, and 4K video recording support, microSD (up to 128 GB), 3,000 mAh battery, and Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box. As you may know, there are two G3 variants: one with 16 GB storage and 2 GB RAM, and the other with 32 GB storage and 3 GB of RAM. It seems that AT&T will be selling the latter one.
On the other hand, the LG G Watch brings 1.6-inch always-on display with 280 x 280 resolution, 400 mAh battery, is IP67 certified, quad-core Snapdragon 400 CPU, 512 MB of RAM, interchangeable straps, and its compatible with any Android device running Jelly Bean 4.3 or later.
