The Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet is coming to Verizon's LTE network. If Big Red suits your fancy and Sony's latest slim and waterproof tablet fits your needs, then this might very well be the tablet for you. The Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet on Verizon brings everything that we liked about the tablet to Verizon, just adding in an LTE radio. The cellular tablet's priced at $599.99, though those who pre-order starting tomorrow will be able to get it for $100 off (the same price as the non-LTE version).
Of course, that $100 discount requires a two-year contract along with it. But then again, if you pre-order they'll also throw in a set of Sony noise canceling earbuds valued at $80. There's plenty more that's included, but mostly it's just Sony's services and media — although the "exclusive early access pass to 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' when it becomes available for digital download" is an interesting inclusion.
Pre-orders are set to go live on July 10, with availability scheduled for a week later on the 17th of July.
At $499.99 for a solidly-built 1080p waterproof Android 4.4.2 KitKat that just happens to be a quarter of an inch thick and sporting 32GB of internal storage and an LTE radio, who's interested?
