'The Last Of Us: Remastered' Released On The PlayStation 4; Sony Premieres Launch Trailer For Video Game Preview [VIDEO]

"The Last of Us: Remastered" was released exclusively for the PlayStation 4 on Tuesday morning. The game is a "remastered" take on the 2013 award-winning game "The Last of US," which was released on the PlayStation 3 console. 

According to Gamespot, the game's publisher had been planning on releasing the game on the PS4 since it's arrival and decided to use it's technical advances to enhance the game.

Back in March, it was announced that "The Last Of Us" sold over six million copies worldwide sales. PlayStation announced the milestone on it's blog where it also talked about future plans for the game's developer Naughty Dog.

Sony and Naughty Dog also talked about their future plans at the 2014 Game Developers Conference.

"We're now heading to GDC to talk about some of the techniques and process that went into making The Last of Us, which has now hit over six million copies sold worldwide, as well as what made Left Behind, our first ever downloadable, single player story chapter, so unique," said Eric Monacelli, community strategist at Naughty Dog.

A sequel for last year's "Tomb Raider" reboot was announced earlier in the week at E3 also. That game was called a success after by Darrell Gallagher, the Head Of Studios for Crystal Dynamics after he revealed new information.

In a post on the game's official Tumblr, he noted that the reboot will sell more than six million copies by the end of March. With the game getting a release on the Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC, it was able to reach all video game audiences presumably.

Gallagher also mentioned that the game already "achieved profitably" in 2013 and exceeded projections but is still helping out the company's finances.

He also mentioned in the post that there may be a sequel in the works for the "Tomb Raider" franchise.

"And like every great adventure, the story continues long after the initial launch. It's great to be able to look back at the last twelve months and share some of the achievements we are really proud of," he said. "We can't wait to continue our adventures with Lara in the sequel that is in development at Crystal Dynamics. We are also looking forward to building on the success and lessons learned from the reboot to continue redefining and setting new benchmarks for Tomb Raider in the years to come."
