CVG has reported that NPD figures have revealed that Ubisoft's latest game "Watch Dogs" was the best-selling physical retail game of June.
Mario Kart 8 came in at second and was followed by Minecraft at third, the EA Sports UFC game took the fourth spot. FIFA 14, which most likely got a boost from the World Cup, rounded out the top 5.

Ubisoft has announced that it's latest video game "Watch Dogs" has sold over eight million units, according to Videogamer.
The game's success has definitely helped Ubisoft's financials as it increased it's Q1 sales by 374 percent year-on-year and posted first quarter sales of nearly $489 million.
Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot commented on the news by stating that the game's success has helped establish a long-term approach for the video game publisher.
"The success of Watch Dogs and the quality of our games portfolio presented at this year's E3 highlight our strategic positioning as well as our continuous drive for innovation, and affirm our long-term approach," he said.
Guillemot also spoke about the importance of the "Watch Dogs" series now that it is financially successful.
"Watch Dogs is now well positioned as a major franchise and we will be able to replicate and build on its success in the coming years. Its sales performance testifies to Ubisoft's expertise as a creator of blockbuster brands," he said. "That expertise enables us to stand out from our competitors at the beginning of each console cycle and therefore to reach a new dimension."
"Watch Dogs" has recently added three new missions to it's DLC, according to Digital Spy.
The new missions include "The Palace," where players will have to wipe an incriminating hard drive and silence an Internet mogul, "Signature Shot," where you players will go on a quest to get a new weapon. Another mission "The Breakthrough" is also included in the DLC and involves Aiden trying to eliminate scrambler missions.
Season pass holders can download the content now and you can purchase a season pass for $19.99. "Watch Dogs" is available for the PC, Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
The first DLC for Ubisoft's high selling video game, "Watch Dogs" was released in early June. According to411mania.com, the DLC is called "The Conspiracy Digital Trip" and can be bought for $4.99 or downloaded for free for Watch Dogs Season Pass holders.
