Numerous images showing iPhone 6 components have been posted online in the past few weeks that have highlighted various parts of the upcoming Apple smartphones. Now insider Sonny Dickson – who has a good track record reporting on Apple unreleased devices and leaking pictures showing such devices – has taken to Twitter to share with the world two high-resolution images of the iPhone 6’s metal backplate.
As you can see in the following images, the rear shell looks like it took quite a beating, featuring several dents and scratches. Furthermore, parts of the plastic covering the antenna sections at the top and bottom of the component have also been peeled away.
The iPhone 6 back case in the pictures shown by Dickson features exactly the same design elements as previous iPhone 6 leaks that showed either dummy units or pictures of the metal chassis. Rounded corners, the antenna’s placement, cutouts for the back camera, microphone, circular camera flash and Apple logo are all present, just as in previous leaks. Interestingly though, the rear camera seems to have a slightly protruding camera ring, a detail shown only in some of the recent leaks.
Dickson’s high-resolution iPhone 6 rear shell photos follow below.
