A new clip for "FIFA 15" was released by IGN to promote changes in the upcoming EA Sports game. The clip features "FIFA" Producer Sebastian Enrique choosing the three biggest changes in this year's game.
Enrique told IGN that the biggest changes were the game's Premier League content, lighting, and easier team management. Check out Enrique's explanation for those three in the clip below:
EA Sports announced that it would carry on as the Official Sports Technology Partner of the English Premier League until 2019, in a report earlier this month. The report comes from IGN, who said it will give EA access to all the Premier League for the next five years.
A press release for the announcement mentioned that FIFA 15 will include an "unprecedented level of detail in the players and all 20 stadiums, as well as the integration of broadcast quality graphics, audio and commentary that ensures FIFA 15 fans will feel the emotion and intensity of the most popular football league in the world."
Peter Moore, EA's COO also commented on the announcement and said the deal will continue to bring realism to the game.
"We're extremely pleased to announce the extension of our partnership with the Premier League, the most played league in EA SPORTS FIFA," he said. "It brings our award-winning game to new levels of authenticity and realism, and enables fans to immerse themselves in the drama and emotion of the league. And as a life-long Liverpool FC fan, I know exactly how that feels!"
Clint Dempsey may have not won the World Cup but he can now add his name to an exclusive list of North American soccer players. The U.S. Men's National Team captain was announced by EA Sports as a cover athlete for "FIFA 15."
USA Today reported that Dempsey will appear on North American "FIFA 15" covers alongside Lionel Messi.
The star player reacted to the announcement an interview where he said he was honored and excited to be on the cover of an iconic franchise like "FIFA."
"It's pretty cool, especially to be on the cover of a game that I played growing up, and also in the company of one of the best players in the world," Dempsey said. "It's exciting."
Dempsey also said that the game is a great way to help build on soccer's popularity in the U.S. after the World Cup since it helps people get familiar with the rules of the game.
"You start figuring out the rules, so when you watch the games on TV, you're able to understand it more," said Dempsey. "It only helps the popularity of the game in the U.S."
FIFA 15 will launch on Sept. 23 in North America and Sept. 26 internationally. It will be available on the PC, Wii, Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
