HTC Desire 510 aims to offer Android 4.4 and LTE connectivity on the cheap

The HTC Desire family’s got a new member, and its goal is to offer 4G LTE connectivity on the cheap.

The HTC Desire 510 features a design similar to other recent Desire devices, like the 816 and 610, but it lacks the BoomSound front-facing speakers of its higher-end siblings. That doesn’t mean that it’s completely lacking, though, as HTC saw fit to include “incredible build quality” and LTE connectivity.

The HTC Desire 510’s full spec sheet is as follows:

• 5-megapixel rear camera

HTC says that the Desire 510 will launch in parts of Asia and Europe as well as “select carriers” in the US, one of which might be Sprint. There’s no word on how much it’ll cost, but HTC says that the Desire 510 is its “most affordable LTE smartphone to date.”

Overall the HTC Desire 510 looks like a pretty nice entry-level smartphone. It may not have a super high-res display, but it does offer a nice-looking design and 4G LTE connectivity, and it could be a pretty compelling device so long as HTC follows through on its affordability promise.
