Sprint Moto X Android 4.4.4 KitKat Soak Test Starts Today

Numerous users have reported that they’ve got an email from Sprint notifying them that the brand new Android 4.4.4 Soak Test is ready and that they should get the files starting today. If you’re part of the Motorola Feedback Network and you own a Motorola Moto X on Sprint, then you should check your smartphone’s notification panel and see if there are any new KitKat files available for download.

Sprint Motorola Moto X smartphone will get the brand new Android 4.4.4 KitKat software Soak Test released today and it adds several security tweaks, better battery life and some bug fixes. There isn’t any major difference from Android 4.4.3, but it is still recommended for you to install this new firmware for your smartphone. Since the Soak Test will last for several days you should expect the new firmware update to roll out by the end of this month.

Sprint rolls out the Soak Test of Android 4.4.4 KitKat only for Moto X owners that are registered with Motorola Feedback Network, so you should have registered with them in order to get the new firmware today. The Android 4.4.4 OTA Update will be the final KitKat build released for the Sprint Moto X devices. Google is expected to launch the brand new Android L (possibly 5.0) OS update next month. So, if you’re part of the Soak Test then you should simply confirm the download of the new ROM and make sure to test all of the newly added features and report back to Motorola and Sprint with any bugs that you might find while testing.
