The QBracelet from Q Designs is a stylish, lightweight, unisex bracelet that packs a 1,160mAh battery capable of delivering that extra battery boost for your smartphone when you’re on the go – that’s more than 60% of a full iPhone 5s charge, according to the company. The bracelet is currently available for pre-order on the company’s website for $79.99 — that’s $20 off the future retail price — and is compatible with iPhone, Android and Windows Phone.
“The QBracelet provides a very sexy solution to a truly ubiquitous problem,” Q Designs CEO James Kernan said. “Every smartphone owner worries about battery loss, and we endeavored to create a product that simply takes that worry away, effortlessly and with style. In our research, we found existing external battery solutions to be clunky, unappealing and frustrating to use, and so we set out to build a simple, beautiful alternative.”
The QBracelet should ship in December, once its partial crowd-funding campaign is completed, as the company is apparently looking to raise $50,000 during pre-orders.
Unfortunately, this QBracelet version doesn’t also pack any kind of magical technology that makes it recharge itself when being worn on the wrist, and still needs to be recharged from a power source just like other gadgets.
The QBracelet comes either with a Lightning Connector or microUSB adapter neatly tucked away inside it, and will need up to 60 minutes to deliver its charge to a smartphone – the bracelet has a 30-day standby time.
The gadget weighs from 40g to 50g depending on chosen size, and is available in five colors (including Brushed Black, Matte Black, Matte Silver, Polished Silver and Polished Gold) and three different sizes.
