Samsung just confirmed the upcoming release of its Galaxy Grand Prime Android based smartphone, which will soon arrive in India. The new device, which is known for its high res front facing camera, is bringing mid range performances on a decent price tag, though the India market also provides better deals for handsets like new Moto G or Xiaomi Mi 3. Anyway, if you are interested in buying a “selfie” dedicated Android phone, then read the following lines and learn more about the Samsung Galaxy Prime and its future market availability.
The phone is featuring a 5 MP front facing camera, which is why the Prime is also part of “Groupfie” (taking selfies with a group of people) lineup, a name that isn’t that appealing if you ask me. Anyway, Samsung is aiming a different kind of market with this release, as the high res camera that is spotted on the front is actually the only notable aspect. Other specs and features are including mid range performances, so don’t expect to be impressed by the Galaxy Grand Premier.
Thus, the device will bring a quad core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, only 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal storage memory, micro SD card slot, an 8 MP camera on the back, dual SIMI connectivity, a 5-inch qHD (540×960) display, a 2,600 mAh battery and the latest version of Android, KitKat 4.4 with Samsung’s TouchWiz UX – the same UI that is featured on the Galaxy S5.
Galaxy Grand Prime will be officially released in India starting from October with a price tag of Rs. 15,499 (around $250). The phone will be available in gray and white while other color variants might be also provided in the future.
So, there you have it; this is the Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime. Are you interested in buying it, or you rather choose another device instead? Do share your thoughts with us by using the comments filed from below.
