Nexus 6 Press Shot Leaked by Evleaks Ahead of Release Date

Just when we though that Evan Blass (you probably know him as @evleaks) has left his leaker life behind, he tweeted this earlier today. Yes, folks that’s a photo of the highly-anticipated Nexus 6.

The Nexus 6 press photo that surfaced online courtesy of @evleaks aligns with most of the reports we’ve heard about the device over the past few weeks. As you can see, there are two front-facing stereo speakers, a metallic frame around the edges, and the power and volume keys are located further down for better ergonomics. Of course, there’s no way we can tell how big the device is because there’s no object around it for scale (not even a banana), but, trust me, it will be big. I mean, you can’t expect less from a 5.9-inch smartphone.

If the rumors prove true, then the Motorola-made Nexus 6 will arrive with impressive technical specifications. It seems that the terminal codenamed Shamu could pack a 5.9-inch Quad HD (1440 x 2560) screen, while being underpinned by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor at 2.7 GHz. The reports also talk of 32 GB storage, 3 GB of RAM, 2 MP secondary cam, and 13 MP primary shooter with dual-LED flash, optical image stabilization, and 4K video recording support. As for the Nexus 6 release date, many sources indicate that we will get to see the new terminal in flesh tomorrow, October 15th. It’s more than safe to assume that Nexus 6 will run Android L out of the box, so tomorrow could also be the day the next major Android update makes its official debut.
