The new Galaxy Note Edge is coming out soon — although Samsung hasn’t said when — and the first thing you probably noticed about it is that weird curved screen. What purpose does it serve other than to look like that part of the yearbook that no one can sign?
Well, the people over at Samsung took the time to outline the five features of the Edge screen in a nifty looking infographic that will hopefully explain what it’s all about. It shows a few things that aren’t quite possible on rivals phones, so you may be interested in giving this long infographic a look.
The new Note’s curved screen actually has its uses, and you can even sign the edge of the screen, too, unlike yearbooks. The quick tools feature of the curved edge looks like it will probably get more use with the device than one would think, and it’s promising that Samsung is at least trying something fresh to add to the Galaxy Note Edge.
Besides writing on the edge, the Galaxy Note Edge’s specs seem to check out and look pretty good: Android Kitkat 4.4 OS, fast charging battery, lots of space, slick display, and a 2.7 GHz quad-core processor.
The Galaxy Note Edge will give new users a different mobile experience than they’re used to with non-edged phones, obviously. If anything, buyers of this phone will get people’s attention because it really looks like no other phone on the market. That will get a lot of people talking.
