The best Google Maps trick yet involves a Street View camel
Used by millions of people around the world, Google Maps is certainly one of Google’sbest products, and the company keeps figuring out ways to make it more interesting. Google often adds neat Easter Eggs to Google Maps, and the latest trick comes from Google Arabia, which put a Street View camera on the back of a camel in the desert, in order to allow users to virtually experience a camel ride in United Arab Emirates’ desert of Liwa.
Sure, Google Maps is yet to help you navigate the ever-changing dunes of the desert, but the camel Street View experience (image above) is still worth checking out.
Similarly, Google recently used its Street View technology to explore the Angkor Wat temple complex in Cambodia or the great barrier reef, tourist destinations that might be a bit more interesting than the desert.
