Many of us use Safari for a browser. But there are loads of little tips and tricks that you may not know about. You’ve probably accidentally hit a few buttons and something popped up. Thankfully, MacWorld put together a fantastic list of Safari tricks that could help you navigate your Safari browser like a pro.
One big annoyance on your phone is when you go to open a website and you get the mobile version. What if you want to see the desktop version? To do this, all you have to do is pull down the menu bar where you’ll be given two choices: Add to Favorites or Request Desktop Site. Choose the “Request Desktop Site” and that is what you’ll get refreshed on to your phone.
MacWorld also notes that because Google knows all and sees all, you might want to use to escape from its all-seeing eye by using DuckDuckGo, which will put your privacy first when you search for things on the Internet. It may mean you have to be more specific in your search, but it also means that your information isn’t flowing on to the internet.
MacWorld also points out that Apple’s continuity features allow you to tie your desktop and phone apps together. The iOS apps can AutoFill your passwords for you so that you don’t have to go through the arduous process every time you have to log-in to a site. To set this up, just go to Settings > Safari > Passwords & Autofill. From there you will see all of your accounts you can choose to have AutoFill for.
