The one feature Nexus fans kept asking for is coming to the Nexus 9

Forbes on Tuesday confirmed what previous reports revealed last week: That theNexus 9 will be launched on October 15th and will be the first device to run Android L out of the box, alongside a Motorola-made Nexus smartphone that should also be unveiled on the same day. The company also mentioned release dates and prices for the upcoming Nexus tablet, listing its main specs and features in the process. Among them, there’s one feature that Nexus fans have been asking for a long time, andGoogle appears to be ready to offer it.
According to Jay McGregor’s sources, both the Wi-Fi and LTE versions of the Nexus 9will come with expandable memory.
“The 16GB version will cost $399 and the 32GB LTE version will retail for $499. Both devices will have expandable memory,” McGregor wrote. “I was surprised… but my source seems confident.”
However, Forbes did not say whether the Nexus 6 will also offer expandable memory.
Since the original HTC Nexus One, no Nexus-branded device came with microSD support, a feature many buyers wanted but one that Google kept denying. Thankfully, we have less than a day to find out if this long-awaited feature is finally coming to a new Nexus device.
