Best Android Games of the Week: Big Hero 6, Civilization Revolution 2, and others
Mobile Developers are continuing to launch new video games for Android devices. In this post you can find some of the most interesting titles recently launched.
Below you might not find the best Android video games, but you will surely find some really challenging titles that should help you kill time whenever you’re home or bored. Note that some games are free to play, but these are packing in-app purchases. Check our small reviews and make sure to tell us in comments if you can think of other Android video games that were released in the previous weeks and you think that we should have listed them in this post.
Big Hero 6 Bot Fight – FREE
Disney has just released the Big Hero 6 animated movie to theaters. Now, you can also test the Android video game that’s based on this release. Big Hero 6 Bot Fight is a puzzle game with its story taking place exactly an year after the events in the official movie. You can safely play this game as there are no spoilers in it.
Big Hero 6 Bot Fight is a “match 3″ puzzler where you will need to combine 3 or more power cells or bots in order to improve the strengths of your team and reprogram the evil robots. This game is available from Google Play Store here for free and it works with all Android 3.0 and later versions. Note that this game packs in-app purchases, so you should make sure to supervise your kids while they’re playing.
Civilization Revolution 2 – $14.99
The Civilization Revolution 2 is part of Sid Meier’s Civilization game series and now it has been released for the Android devices. The first Civ Rev game wasn’t available on Android and we’re getting the second installment in the series directly and there is nothing that you can do to change that.
This game uses the turn-based strategy gameplay and allows you to play as Lincoln, Bismark, Lenin or as other historical state leaders. Your objective is to try and expand your country and build the greatest empire in history by founding cities, creating your own army, developing weapons and strategies, and by trying to exploit every single part of the game.
Install Civilization Revolution 2 for all Android 3.0 and newer OS versions from here. This game costs $14.99, but there are no in-app purchases.
Monkey Racing – $2.99
This is a cart racing video game in which you will control cars with monkeys as drivers. Play on more than eighty different tracks, challenge the 18 bosses, play in both single and multi-player modes, unlock all the achievements and do everything you can in order to win all the races you’re entering.
Monkey Racing is developed by Crescent Moon Games and it can be installed on all the Android 4.0 and later OS versions. Install it from Google Play Store here for $2.99. The game contains no addition in-app purchases.
World of Tanks Blitz – FREE
One of the most popular military MMO is now live on Android for users all over the world to experience tank battles against others from all over the world. WoT Blitz is based on the PC version and it allows you to choose form more than one hundred tanks from the U.S., United States and Germany.
All the tanks are ranked in four different categories: light, medium, heavy and tank destroyers, make sure to use one that suits your gaming skills best. In this game you can play in ten different battle grounds, it supports 7v7 multiplayer gaming mode, real-life physics, and intuitive gaming controls.
World of Tanks Blitz is available for free from Google Play Store. It can be installed on all Android 4.0 and later versions. Note that this game contains in-app purchases that you can use in order to improve your Victory chances.
Contract Killer: Sniper – FREE
Glu has released a brand new action Android game in which you will play a Sniper who needs to assassinate important people and secure various locations across the globe. Follow the only snipping rule which is “honor the contract” and you should be able to complete the game in no time. Make sure to upgrade your weapons and use all the tricks you pick up while playing in order to finish all levels clean, easy and without getting caught.
Contract Killer Sniper is free to play for all Android 3.0 and later versions and you can install it from Google Play Store here. Note that since the game is free to play, then you should expect to find tons of in-app purchases after installation. You can still complete the game without making any item purchases, which is the way you should do it if you that you’re a capable sniper.
