Best Buy Now Offering Exclusive Blue Motorola Droid Turbo

Motorola Droid Turbo is undoubtedly one of the hottest Android smartphones to have launched this year. With the premium build quality and top-notch hardware specs, there are very few smartphones out there that can stand up to it. But the one area where it seemed a little lacking was the range of color options. Unlike the Moto X that is offered in a variety of colors, the Droid Turbo has so far been available in only two color options – Red and Black. Now a third color option has been added that will be available exclusively through Best Buy. The popular US retailer will be selling the Droid Turbo in a Blue color option soon.

The new Blue color option does look pretty impressive and in our opinion is the best color option for the Droid Turbo. The Droid Turbo is no doubt a good-looking device, but it is a little too plain in appearance and not catchy like the design of the Moto X 2nd gen. But the new Blue color does accentuate the design much more than the Black and Red color options, making it look better than earlier. As with the other two color options, the Blue color option will also be available only with 32GB of onboard storage. 64GB internal memory option is available only on the more expensive model that comes with a Ballistic Nylon back.

Contract Pricing remains the same as the other color options – $199 on a 2-year contract with Verizon Wireless. Monthly payments would be around $25 per month with the Verizon Edge plan. But the outright purchase price for the Blue color option is $699.99 as opposed to $649.99 for the Black and Red Droid Turbo models. Strangely Verizon sells the device outright for a cheaper price of $599.99 for the Red and Black color options. The Blue color option isn’t yet available in stock with Best Buy, but you would be able to order one online or buy it through a Best Buy Store in the next week or so.
