Verizon Is Releasing LG G Vista Android 4.4.2 Update with UI Tweaks
Verizon has announced that a new software update is now being pushed to the LG G Vista owners. The new firmware has build number VS88011B and is being rolled out over-the-air.
According to the changelog posted on Verizon’s support page, the new LG G Vista Android 4.4.2 arrives with call floating pop-up enhancements (visual cue is now applied at the top of the call floating pop-up to give user information which can be moved) along with Camera app shortcut for the lockscreen. The new update also brings improved device speed, increased network connectivity, and better user experience for www.youtube-mp3.org.
As usual, we are dealing with a staged roll out, which means that some users might not be able to download and install the new update right away. Once your LG G Vista becomes eligible to receive the new software update, you should be able to notice a message in the notifications bar that prompts you to download and install the new firmware. Tap on it, then follow the on screen instructions. If the said notification failed to appear, it’s also worth performing a manual check under Settings > System updates > Check for new system update. In case this method doesn’t work either, then it means you will have to wait a few more days.
Unfortunately, Verizon’s support PDF doesn’t mention the size of the LG G Vista VS88011B OTA update. We are recommending you to download the update file using a WiFi connection in order to avoid unwanted data charges.
The LG G Vista is an appealing smartphone that can be purchased for only $49.99 with a two-year contract. It packs a 5.7-inch HD screen, quad-core 1.2 GHz processor, 1.5 GB of RAM, 8 GB of microSD-expandable storage, 8 MP primary shooter with laser autofocus, and a 3,200 mAh battery. It has the same form factor as LG’s G3 flagship and it even brings rear-mounted Volume and Power keys.
