Android 5.0.1 Lollipop for Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note Edge, and Galaxy S5 LTE-A Previewed on Video

For the time being, the Galaxy S5 is the only Samsung smartphone which got updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop. We told you yesterday that both Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge will reportedly skip the Android 5.0 update, as they will get updated straight to Android 5.0.1. A new report is indicating that the Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE-A will receive the same treatment.

Furthermore, the folks atSammobile have posted three videos of Android 5.0.1 Lollipop running on Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note Edge, and Galaxy S5 LTE-A. As you might have guessed already we are talking about test builds, so the experience on the final version could be a bit different.

Android 5.0.1 for Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note Edge, and Galaxy S5 LTE-A won’t bring any major changes compared to the Android 5.0 that was released for the Galaxy S5, but, according to Sammobile, there are a couple of new features in the test build they captured on video. They also mentioned that the multi-user is currently missing on the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge, but it’s available for the build running on the Galaxy S5 LTE-A. Of course, the multi-user feature will be included in the final firmware for all three devices.

Lollipop is the most major update Android has received so far. Besides receiving a new interface design called Material Design which makes the whole experience more fluid, the new update also arrives with multi-user support for phones, better battery statistics, Android Runtime instead of Dalvik runtime, revamped notifications bar and quick settings, lock screen notifications, improved security, and more.
