LG G3 Android 5.0 Lollipop Update Now Rolling out All Over Europe

Last week, we told you that ourVodafone LG G3 got updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop in Romania. Now we are hearing from Reddit users that the LG G3 Android 5.0 Lollipop update is rolling out in various European countries.

As usual, the LG G3 Android 5.0 Lollipop update is being rolled out in phases, which means that some users might not be able to download and install it right away. You probably know already that once your terminal becomes eligible to receive the new firmware, you should be able to notice a system update message in the notifications bar. Tap on it, then follow the on-screen instructions. If the system update notification failed to appear you would also want to perform a manual check under Settings > General > About phone > Software update > Check for software update.

The new Android 5.0 Lollipop update has build number LRX21R and it should weigh in at over 500 MB. We are recommending you to download the update file using a WiFi network in order to avoid unwanted data charges.

Lollipop is undoubtedly the biggest update Android has received since its debut. It’s even bigger than the jump form Gingerbread to Ice Cream Sandwich. Android 5.0 Lollipop arrives with features such as multi-user support for phones, Smart Lock, Screen Pinning, lock screen notifications, better battery statistics, ART instead of Dalvik Runtime, revamped notifications bar and quick settings, new Recents screen, Material Design UI, and more.

For the time being, there’s no information on when the Android 5.0 Lollipop will be rolled out for the LG G3 owners based in the US. Furthermore, if your G3 is carrier-locked you might have to wait even longer.
