LG G Flex 2 it’s around the corner and we prepared a round-up of what to expect from LG’s latest flagship smartphone just before it’s official unveiling at CES 2015 which will start on January 6th. In case you’ve missed it, we were able to take a first look at LG G Flex 2 and we figured a major design improvement, corners of the new G Flex are more squared than its predecessor. But we gathered some of the most interesting information we could find about LG G Flex 2 and we are going to present them to you you before the main event. To sum it up before we go, you’ll find here information about price, specs, features and some interesting goodies which are going to make you want this smartphone more than ever.

We’ll start with what matters the most: LG G Flex 2 specs. What we know for sure is that LG G Flex 2 will be powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor with LTE-A connectivity with tri-band carrier aggregation, which is a huge step from its predecessor which came with a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor at 2.26 GHz. Just a reminder, transfer speed for LTA-A connections is 450 Mbps. There is expected a much better display, looking at all complains about the poor quality of LG G Flex display, and we are almost sure that LG G Flex 2 will have a 1080p OLED Full HD display which will replace the P-OLED 720p display from the first gen and we could expect a raise in RAM memory (first G Flex had 2 GB of RAM memory).

Looking at its dimensions, LG G Flex 2 won’t get any bigger than first G Flex, and there are chances for it to be a little bit smaller, but there are only rumors regarding the actual size. Again, a bigger smartphone would be hard to handle and impossible to fit in your pocket, so a little smaller than 6 inch would be great for handling. As for the camera, the 13 MP rear module was pretty good, and if the display will increase, we could expect an improvement from the camera as well; after all, why would you have a crystal clear display if you can’t take crystal clear pictures?

Features are concentrating more on its bending, so LG G Flex 2 is expected to be more curved on the vertical axis, more rounded at the corners and a little bit more flexible. The new hard rubber chassis is said to bring up more flexibility and will be much more easy to carry it in the rear pocket. The curved shape will be directed towards watching videos, playing games and making phone calls as LG improved ergonomics of the bent display towards everyday usage.

Price tag for LG G Flex 2 will be much higher than its first generation ($770), because of all improvements, especially the higher resolution display. It is expected to go over $800 but this is a price which reflects its uniqueness.

Other features include the back buttons which are a trend among high end LG products; the self healing resin back cover, which heals any marks made by scratches and of course, the most important feature: bending it without damaging its components.

One year of rumors are gathered here under one name, LG G Flex 2, and in a few days we’ll see how much better did LG performed with their second generation of curved smartphone. Hope it won’t be a disappointment!
