Samsung Galaxy S6 Metal Chassis Gets Spied, Alleged Rendering Shows up in KNOX Tutorial Video
CES 2015 opens its gates for the public today, but the Las Vegas-based tech fair won’t bring us the highly-anticipated Samsung Galaxy S6 even though some unfounded rumors pointed so. In the meantime, the folks at nowhereelse.fr have leaked a few photos of the alleged Galaxy S6 chassis.
The French publication claims that the metal chassis that was caught on camera belongs to a Samsung Galaxy S6. Unfortunately, there’s no way to verify the veracity of the report, therefore we are advising you to take it with a pinch of salt. There have been some reports saying that Samsung’s next-gen flagship will be made using metal and that it could arrive with a slightly larger display. It’s pretty hard to estimate the size of the phone from the photos as there’s no other object around for scale.
On the other hand, a mysterious Samsung smartphone has been spotted in a My KNOX tutorial video. The device is not looking like any smartphone currently in Samsung’s line-up. It’s rather a reminiscent of a Galaxy S4 on steroids, with a very narrow bezel around the display. There are some voices saying that this could be the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S6.
As I was mentioning above, the Samsung Galaxy S6 will not be unveiled at CES 2015. Anyway, sources close to the matter toldSammobile that the S6 will be showcased to select partners during the Las Vegas-based tech fair.
If the rumors prove true, the Galaxy S6 would arrive with beastly technical specifications. We’ve heard from various sources that the highly-anticipated handset could arrive with a 5.5-inch AMOLED screen with Quad HD (1440 x 2560) resolution, 3 GB of RAM, Exynos 7420 or Snapdragon 801 chipset (market dependent), and a 20 MP primary shooter. Without a doubt, the S6 will run Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box, of course, customized with Sammy’s proprietary TouchWiz interface.
