Oppo Debuts R1C and Mirror 3 Smartphones

Oppo is one of the many Chinese phone makers that are aiming to put a lot of pressure on the big names of the smartphone market. It looks like 2015 will be a pretty busy year for them. After last week their U3 received its TENAA network licence, Oppo unveiled two new smartphones today: the R1C and Mirror 3.

The Oppo R1C was the first smartphone unveiled by the Chinese company today. R1C is aimed at the customers in search of a mid-range smartphone and it packs a pretty decent hardware configuration. The handset arrives with a LTPS LCD capacitive touchscreen measuring 5 inches diagonally and packing a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. It’s underpinned by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor up to 1.5 GHz, it has 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage expandable using microSD cards, and a 2,420 mAh battery. On the back there’s a 13 MP primary shooter, while the front panel accommodates a 5 MP selfie camera. Oppo R1C is already available for pre-order and it has a price tag of $403.

The other smartphone launched by the Chinese company today was Oppo Mirror 3, which is a budget device aimed at the customers who don’t want to spent a little fortune on a smartphone. Of course, it’s technical specifications aren’t as appealing as the ones of R1C. Mirror 3 packs a 4.7-inch LCD screen with HD resolution (that’s 720 x 1280 pixels), has a 64-bit Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, 1 GB of RAM, and 8 GB of internal storage with microSD expansion support. The smartphone integrates an 8 MP IMX179 rear-facing camera sensor from Sony and a 5 MP user-facing shooter for your selfie needs. Oppo says that the 2,000 mAh battery that keeps the Mirror 3 alive can be fully charged in 90 minutes. The new, lower-end Oppo smartphone will make its market debut later this month at a price of $280/

Both Oppo R1C and Mirror 3 are running Android 4.4 Lollipop out of the box and both come with 4G LTE connectivity.
