After introducing the Galaxy A7 (2016), Galaxy A5 (2016) and the Galaxy A3 (2016),Samsung seems to be gearing up for another smartphone under its Galaxy A series. Dubbed as Galaxy A9, that smartphone has already been subjected to a handful of leaks over the past couple of months. Now, the latest leak sheds light on its key specifications on features.

New information comes through leaked promotional photos that have surfaced onWeibo. The leaked photos reveal some of the key features of the rumored Galaxy A9.

Samsung Galaxy A9 specifications and features: According to reports, the smartphone sports a 6-inch Super AMOLED full HD (1080p) display. Under the hood, it is powered by Qualcomm’s 1.8GHz Snapdragon 620 octa-core processor. Paired with 3GB of RAM and Adreno 510 GPU, the smartphone also comes with 32GB onboard storage and a microSD card slot for further expansion.

Other features include a 13-megapixel auto-focus rear camera with OIS (optical image stabilization) and LED flash, an 8-megapixel front facing camera for selfies, and a 4,000mAh battery. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0 LE, Wi-Fi and GPS. The smartphone boots Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI running atop.

As of now there is no information on the pricing. The smartphone is expected to be officially unveiled either around Christmas or early next year.
