Apple iOS 9.3 beta released: Here are its top 5 features
Apple has released iOS 9.3 beta version, which comes with a slew of interesting new features ranging from multiple users for schools to keeping Notes content secure with fingerprint lock. Apple has also created a dedicated preview site to detail about what’s coming with the new iOS update.
The iOS 9.3 is currently in developer preview, so you need to have a developer account to access it. Apple may reveal some more features ahead the final version, which is likely to be available by end of the next month.
Let’s take a look at the top new features of the iOS 9.3 preview.
Night Shift: This new feature basically uses your iOS device’s clock and geo-location to determine sunset in your area. Then it automatically changes the display colors to a warmer tone in the evening for better readability. The display automatically changes to regular settings in the morning. “Many studies have shown that exposure to bright blue light in the evening can affect your circadian rhythms and make it harder to fall asleep,” Apple notes on its website.
Lock Notes: Soon, you will be able to secure your notes through a password, which can be clubbed with TouchID fingerprint. Apple has also improved the Notes app allowing you to sort notes by date created, modified or even alphabetically.
CarPlay: With iOS 9.3, CarPlay will have deeper synchronization with Apple Music. You can use CarPlay to access all major features such as songs, artists and albums, and selection based on your preference on your screen. The Nearby Feature in Maps will show parking, restaurants, coffee, and more with a tap.
Apple Health: Apple says the new update will make it easier for users to find third-party applications on Apple Health. Apple has added a new slider menu for categories such as weight, workouts and sleep. It has also simplified the process to add apps to the Health dashboard.
Education: Apple’s education service will come with a slew of new features. Soon, admins will have one portal from where they can manage Apple IDs and even purchase apps. With a Shared iPad feature, students can log in to any iPad device in any classroom. The new Classroom app allows teachers to track students’ progress.
