LG G3 to Debut in Asia June 27, Europe and Middle East Get It in July

LG G3 release date

LG unveiled their premium flagship for 2014, the LG G3, back in May and it was received with great reviews and good sales in the company’s homeland. Now the South Korean phone maker officially announced that they will be releasing the LG G3 outside South Korea later this month. According to a press release posted on the company’s website the LG G3 will be rolled out in parts of Asia including Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, and Philippines starting July 27, while the rest of Asia, Europe, and the Middle East will get it in July.
The LG G3 is one of the most appreciated smartphones of the year, bringing a brushed metal finishing for the rear cover, rear-mounted power and volume buttons, laser autofocus, and one of the most powerful hardware platforms currently on the market. As I was mentioning above, the LG G3 has enjoyed great sales in South Korea, the company announcing they managed to sell 100,000 units in the first week after the debut.
In the press release LG also mentions that on the European and Asian markets the LG G3 owners will be able to enjoy wireless charging functionality. There’s no mention whether the wireless charging feature will also arrive for the US variants of the smartphone, but it’s a bit early to rush into conclusion since the aforementioned press release was aimed at the Asian, European, and Middle Eastern markets.
The LG G3 is compatible with the Qi wireless charging standard, but LG would probably like you to buy their own charger that won’t require your phone to lie horizontally flat.
Unfortunately, LG failed to announced when the G3 will become available for purchase in North America, but several US carriers hinted that they might release it in June. There’s no info on the price, but expected it to cost $199 with a two-year contract.
As a refresher, the LG G3 has a 2560 x 1440 5.5-inch display, quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 32 GB storage and 3 GB of RAM / 16 GB storage and 2 GB of RAM, microSD (up to 128 GB), 13 MP primary cam with OIS, 2.1 MP secondary cam, runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat, and has a 3,000 mAh battery.
