Sprint officially revealed that they are now pushing the Moto X Android 4.4.3 update to their users. The new software comes about a month after Android 4.4.3 was released for Nexus and Google Play Experience devices.
According to the announcement made by Sprint on their community page the Moto X Android 4.4.3 update is being rolled out in phases which means that some of you might have two wait a few more days until the new firmware is made available for your terminal.
As you may know already, once your Sprint Moto X will be eligible to receive the Android 4.4.3 update you should receive a system update message in the notification bar. Tap on it, choose download, wait until the download is completed, then select install now. If the system update notification fails to appear, you can also check for the update manually under Settings > About phone > System updates > Check now.
Because all the KitKat specific goodies such as transparent status and nav bars, white status bar icons, full screen album art in the lock screen, new location menu, cloud printing, or immersive were patched in the previous updates for Moto X, the new Android 4.4.3 update arrives to bring stability improvements, to enhance the quality of the photos taken in low light conditions, and the ability to pause video recording.
The new firmware update also brings an updated phone dialer with a new graphical layout and colors.
According to Sprint, the new update is labeled KXA21.12-L1.22. Because the new firmware is expected to have a size of over 400 MB, it’s recommended to download the update file using a stable WiFi network in order to avoid unwanted data charges.
