Also, the Developer Options features various elements that will allow you to tell your phone to stay awake while charging, select Runtime, get info on Android background processes, the possibility to enable the power menu bug report button, support for mock locations, verify apps that you try to install via ADB / ADT, show visual touches, surface updates, layout bounds, window animation scale, gpu rendering options, show hardware layers updates, debug gpu overdraw, show cpu usage, limit the amount of background processes you want to run on your Galaxy S5, and others more.
How to enable Developer Options:
- Open the App drawer.
- Launch Settings menu.
- Find the open the ‘About Device’ menu.
- Scroll down to ‘Build Number’.
- Next, tap on the ‘build number’ section seven times.
- After the seventh tap you will be told that you are now a developer.
- Go back to Settings menu and the Developer Options menu will now be displayed.
In order to enable the USB Debugging you will simply need to open Developer Options, scroll down and tick the box that says ‘USB Debugging’. That’s it.

Note that if you want for USB Debugging to work when your Galaxy S5 is connected with your computer, then you will first need to make sure that the Samsung USB Drivers are installed on your PC.
