Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4.4 Update to Roll out This Month, Shows Leaked Document

A recently leaked document has spilled the beans on Samsung’s plans for bringing the Android 4.4.4 update to some of their devices. The said document has revealed that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4.4 update will be pushed to users later this month.

According to the leaked Samsung roadmap the internal testing for the Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4.4 (build KTU84P) update has been completed and the new firmware is ready for roll out. It’s also worth mentioning that the new update will be made available for both the Note 3 Exynos (N900) and Note 3 Snapdragon (N9005) variants. Without a doubt, the unlocked models will be the first in line to get the new update, as carriers are usually delaying the launch of new firmware in order to test them on their own network.

Since the ETA for the Android 4.4.4 update for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is this month, we should expect the new update to go live any moment now. In case the system update message appears in your notification bar, you the drill. Tap on it, choose Download now, wait for the download to finish, then choose Install now. The phone should reboot and install the new firmware. In case the system update notification failed to show up, you would also want to perform a manual check under Settings > More > About phone > Software updates > Check for software updates. Alternatively, you can check for the new update via KIES. Grab an USB cable, connect your Note 3 to the PC and launch KIES.

The aforementioned document doesn’t reveal anything about the improvements brought by the new update, nor about its size. Anyway, don’t expect anything magic to happen to your Note 3. The new build is mostly about bringing improved security and performance and about fixing some bugs.
