Android 4.4.3 Update for Samsung Galaxy S5 to Arrive This Month, Galaxy S4 Getting it in July

After Google rolled out the Android 4.4.3 update for the Nexus and Google Play Experience devices and Motorola updated the Moto E, G, and X to the new software version, Samsung will also bring the Android 4.4.3 update on their Galaxy S5 and Galaxy S4.

According to a document we received in our mailbox from an anonymous tipster, the Samsung Galaxy S5 Android 4.4.3 update will be rolled out for both the Exynos and Snapdragon variants of the smartphone later this month. The two new firmwares for Galaxy S5 SM-G900F and SM-G900H are labeled G900FXXUOBNE6 and G900HXXUOBNE3, respectively. It seems that the testing phase been phase for these two devices, so don’t bee too surprised to hear that the update will be rolled out in the next few days.

The same document also reveals that the Android 4.4.3 update for Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9506 (that’s the LTE-A enabled model) is currently in final testing and that it will be rolled out to users sometime next month. There’s no word on Galaxy S4 I9500 and I9505, but the two models might also get the Android 4.4.3 update.

Android 4.4.3 isn’t regarded as a major update, so don’t get your hopes too high. For what it’s worth, the Android 4.4.3 update for Nexus and Google Play edition devices arrived with bug fixes and a redesigned Phone Dialer app with card-based interface and a new color scheme for the phone dialer itself.

Since Samsung won’t want to change the current layout of their Phone Dialer, expect the Galaxy S4 and Samsung Galaxy S5 Android 4.4.3 update to arrive with bug fixes and minor performance boosts.
