A new Android 4.4.2 update for HTC One M8 is now rolling out for the owners of the Sprint variant. According to Sprint’s support page the new firmware is labelled 1.54.651.10 and is already available for download.
Just like any other software update, the new HTC One M8 Android 4.4.2 update is being rolled out in stages, which means that some of you might not be able to download and install it right away. As you may know, once your device will become eligible to receive the new firmware, you should be able to see a system update message in the notification bar. Tap on it and follow the on-screen instructions. If the system update notification failed to appear, you would also want to check for the new firmware manually under Settings > About phone > Software updates > Check now.
The new HTC One M8 1.54.651.10 OTA update arrives to the fix network connectivity bugs that were affecting the handset and to bring other unlisted improvements. The update file shouldn’t be larger than 100 MB, therefore you might as well download it using your mobile network without doing to much damage to your data plan.
This is the second software update that arrives for the Sprint HTC One M8. The first one brought Extreme Power Saving Mode, a feature that disables unwanted battery eating processes, allowing the users to conserve battery for emergencies.
