Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE-A Specs Officially Revealed: WQHD 1440p Display, 3GB RAM and Snapdragon 805 CPU

Samsung has launched the Galaxy S5 LTE-A smartphone in South Korea which will also remain the only country where this device will be available for purchase.

Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE-A model is not that different from the original S5 when it comes to looks, but after taking a look at the specs sheet you will find that there are several upgrades from the internal Galaxy S5 device.

Samsung Galaxy S5 model with LTE-A connectivity packs some of the best specs when compared with all the other flagship devices currently available for purchase. This new smartphone that will be sold only in South Korea sports the Snapdragon 805 CPU, a 5.1-inch 2560 x 1440 WQHD Super AMOLED display with 577ppi, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage and support for adding up to 128GB extra storage via external microSD slot, 225Mbps LTE-Advanced network speed and it will be available in Charcoal Black, Electric Blue, Shimmer White, Sweet Pink, Copper Gold and Glam Red.

All the other features that were left unlisted are the same ones that you have already seen on the international Galaxy S5 device like the 16MP ISOCELL main camera, 2800 mAh battery, microUSB 3.0, Bluetooth 4.0, Ip67 dust and water resistant display, fingerprint sensor, IR blaster and the heart rate monitor along with the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system.

Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE-A smartphone is available from SK Telecom for somewhere around 940,500 won which translates to $920. It will be released to other carriers like KT and LG U+ in the near future.

The LTE-A model of GS5 is way better than the standard version in terms of specs, but we cannot stop wondering if the 2800 mAh battery will be enough to handle the Snapdragon 805 CPU and the LTE-A network speeds. Since the device will never be released outside of South Korea then you can only hope that there will be enough YouTube videos demoing its battery life capabilities.
