Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2
The Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 was introduced by the South Korean company earlier this year at CES 2014. The Note Pro 12.2 was one of the four new high-end tablets introduced by the Asian manufacturer, the three others belonging to the Galaxy Tab Pro line-up.
Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 arrives with a 12.2-inch Super Clear LCD display with an impressive resolution of 2560 x 1600 and a pixel density of 247 ppi. The high-end tablet comes with either 32 or 64 GB of native storage, expandable using microSD cards up to 64 GB. Underneath its case you will find an octo-core 1.9 GHz Exynos 5 Octa chipset, 3 GB of RAM, and a 9,500 mAh battery.
Note Pro 12.2 has an 8 MP primary camera, 2 MP secondary cam, while the connectivity features include WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, infra red port, microUSB 3.0, and LTE (market dependent). The tablet runs Android 4.4.2, customized with Samsung’s Magazine UX and a couple of S Pen-optimized software features.
If you want to purchase the Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 from Amazon you will have to pay $649 for the 32 GB model or $749 for the 64 GB variant.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2
The Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 debuted at CES 2014, but unlike the Note Pro 12.2 cousin, it doesn’t feature an S Pen stylus.
Anyway, the Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 has a lot in common with the Note Pro 12.2: it features the same 2560 x 1600 12.2-inch Super Clear LCD screen, it has in identical octo-core 1.9 GHz Exynos 5 Octa processor, 3 GB of RAM, and the same 8 MP/2 MP camera combo. It also sports 32/64 GB of microSD-expandable storage.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 is kept alive by a 9,500 mAh battery, while the connectivity list includes WiFi, LTE (for certain models), Bluetooth 4.0, and IR blaster.
The tablet has a price of $544.99 on Amazon and it’s available on white and black.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1
The Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 saw the light of day at CES 2014 and it boasts about a 10.1-inch Super Clear LCD display with 2560 x 1600 resolution and 299 ppi.
The device is underpinned by an octo-core 1.9 GHz Exynos 5 Octa SoC, with 2 GB of RAM, 16/32 GB of internal storage and microSD support up to 64 GB. It leaves the factory gates pre-loaded with Android 4.4.2 KitKat and it’s compatible with WiFi, NFC, infra red, Bluetooth 4.0, and microUSB 2.0 standards.
On the back there’s an 8 MP camera, while the front panel accommodates a 2 MP shooter. It also features an 8,220 mAh battery.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 16 GB is available on Amazon at $399 with black and white color options.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition
Launched in October the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition is still one of the most powerful tablets currently on the market. It has a 10.1-inch Super Clear LCD screen with 2560 x 1600 resolution, octo-core 1.9 GHz Exynos 5 Octa chipset ,3 GB of Ram, 16/32 GB of native storage, and support for microSD cards up to 64 GB.
Because it’s a member of the Galaxy Note tribe, the slate has an S Pen stylus and S Pen-optimized software features. It also has an 8,220 mAh battery, WiFi, Bluetooh, LTE (Snapdragon 800 model), IR blaster, and microUSB 2.0. There are also two cameras with 8 MP and 2 MP sensors, placed on the back and front, respectively.
Amazon is selling the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition 16 GB for $479, while the 32 GB model has a price of $519.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1
Unlike the Galaxy Tab Pro line-up, the Galaxy Tab 4 family of tablets aims to attract the customers searching for a mid-range tablet.
The Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 has a 10.1-inch TFT display with 1280 x 800 resolution, an unnamed quad-core 1.2 GHz processor, 16 GB storage, microSD support (up to 64 GB), and 1.5 GB of RAM.
There’s a 3.15 MP camera on the back, a 1.3 MP camera in the front, while the connectivity features include WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, and microUSB 2.0.
You can order the White Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 from Amazon at $329, while the black model costs $319.
Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet
Sony’s Xperia Z2 Tablet was officially introduced at Mobile World Congress 2014 event in February and it features a 10.1-inch TFT screen with 1920 x 1200 resolution. It comes pre-loaded with Android 4.4.2 KitKat, is only 6.4 mm thin and both water and dust proof.
Hardware-wise, the Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet comes with a quad-core 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 801, 3 GB of RAM, 16/32 GB storage, microSD, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, microUSB 2.0, 8.1 MP primary cam, and 2.2 MP secondary cam.
The Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet is currently in stock at Amazon with a price tag of $507, but you should hurry up as there are only 15 units left.
Kindle Fire HD 8.9
Amazon’s Kindle Fire HD 8.9 was officially announced in October 2012 and it packs an IPS LCD screen with 1920 x 1200 resolution sized 8.9 inches diagonally.
The processing tasks are handled by a dual-core 1.5 GHz TI OMAP 4470 CPU, while the connectivity list includes WiFi, Bluetooth, USB 2.0, and LTE.
It runs a highly customized version of Android Ice Cream Sandwich and it’s available with either 16, 32, or 64 GB of internal storage.
It looks like the WiFi+LTE Kindle Fire HD 8.9 variant is the only one available on Amazon priced either $399 or $499 depending on how much storage you choose.
Kindle Fire HDX 8.9
The Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 is the successor of the aforementioned Fire HD 8.9. The 8.9-inch tablet arrives with an IPS LCD screen with 2560 x 1600 resolution, has 2 GB RAM, and 16/32/64 GB of native storage.
The slate is underpinned by a quad-core 2.2 GHz Snapdragon 800 processor, while packing LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, microUSB 2.0, 8 MP primary cam, and 720p user-facing cam. It runs a customized version of Android Jelly Bean.
Kindle Fire HD 8.9 has a starting price of $379 on Amazon which can climb up to $579 if you want 64 GB storage and LTE.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is the smallest member of the Galaxy Tab Pro line-up that debuted in January at CES 2014 tech fair.
The tablet features an 8.4-inch Super Clear LCD display with 2560 x 1600 resolution, has 16/32 GB of internal storage, supports microSD expansion, and it’s underpinned by a quad-core 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 800 CPU. Coming pre-loaded with Android 4.4 with Magazine UX on top of it, the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 also packs a 4,800 mAh battery, 8 MP primary shooter, 2 MP secondary shooter, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, infra red port, and microUSB 2.0.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0
The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 is 210 mm tall, 124 mm wide, 8 mm thin, has a weight of 320 grams, and, just like the other members of the Galaxy Tab 4 tribe it’s a mid-range Android tablet.
Powered by a quad-core 1.2 GHz processor, it features an 8-inch TFT screen with 1280 x 800 resolution has 1.5 GB of RAM, 16 GB storage, microSD, 3.15 MP rear-facing cam, and 1.3 MP user-facing cam.
Galaxy Tab Pro 4 8.0 also features 4,450 mAh battery, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0, and runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 is priced at $269 on Amazon, being available in both white and black body colors.
LG G Pad 8.3
Released in October 2013, LG’s G Pad 8.3 tablet arrives with a 1200 x 1980 8.3-inch display with IPS LCD technology.
The tablet is underpinned by a Snapdragon 600 SoC based on four Krait 300 cores clocked at 1.7 GHz and an Adreno 320 GPU, has 2 GB RAM, 16 GB native storage expandable using microSD cards up to 64 GB, and a 4,600 mAh battery.
G Pad 8.3 also features WiFi, Bluetooth, IR blaster, microUSB 2.0, 5 MP primary camera, and 1.3 MP secondary camera. The slate is upgradable to Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

Kindle Fire HD
The Kindle Fire HD was introduced back in September 2012, sporting a 7-inch IPS LCD display with 1280 x 800 resolution. The 7-inch tablet comes with either 8 or 16 GB of storage, 1 GB RAM, and a dual-core TI OMAP processor at 1.2 GHz.
Just like its 8.9-inch brother, the Kindle Fire HD comes pre-loaded with a highly customized version of Android Ice Cream Sandwich. It comes with an 1.3 MP camera, while the connectivity list includes WiFi, Bluetooth, and USB 2.0.
The Kindle Fire HD measures 193 x 137 x 10.3 mm and weighs 395 grams. Amazon is selling the WiFi-only 8 GB Kindle Fire HD for only $139, while the 16 GB model costs $169.

Launched about a year after the debut of its predecessor, the Kindle Fire HDX features a quad-core 2.2 GHz Snapdragon 800 processor, 2 GB of RAM, and 16/32/64 GB of native storage.
It also comes with a 1200 x 1920 7-inch IPS LCD screen, 1.3 MP cam with 720p video recording support, LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, and microUSB 2.0. The Fire OS 3.0 Mojito UI is applied over Android Jelly Bean.
You can order the Kindle Fire HDX from Amazon at a starting price of $229. The most expensive variant has 64 GB storage, is LTE-enabled, and costs $409.
Nexus 7 2012
The Nexus 7 2012 was released a couple of years ago after Google and ASUS teamed-up to develop a stock Android-powered slate.
The Nexus 7 2012 arrives with a 7-inch LED-backlit IPS LCD display with 800 x 1280 resolution, has 1 GB of RAM, 16/32 GB internal storage, and it’s powered by a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 CPU clocked at 1.2 GHz.
The tablet also comes with a 4,352 mAh battery, WiFi, Belutooth 4.0, NFC, microUSB 2.0, and it’s upgradable to the latest Android KitKat version available.

Nexus 7 2013
