Samsung just confirmed four new budget friendly Android based smartphones, the company preparing the release of the Galaxy Ace 4, Galaxy Core 2, Galaxy Young 2 and Galaxy Star 2. While these four new Samsung branded devices will arrive during the following weeks through various worldwide markets, as you will see during the following lines, you can’t actually make any plans related to a future purchase.
Why? Well, basically because all these smartphones are coming with low end specs and features, the performances being lower than what we have on the Moto E, which is another affordable smartphone recently released.
Anyway, if you are interested in buying a Samsung branded phone without spending too much money, then you will be able to choose something that can satisfy your needs. Thus, the Galaxy Ace 4 specs will include a dual core processor clocked at 1 GHz, along with only 512 MB of RAM, 4 inch WVGA display, 4 GB of internal storage and a 5 MP rear facing camera. The Ace 4 will also feature the latest version of Android as KitKat 4.4 comes pre-installed.
Then, we have the Galaxy Core 2, which comes with the most interesting performances; the phone packs a quad core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, 768 MB of RAM, 4 GB of internal storage, micro SD card slot, a 4.5 inch display and a 2,000 mAh battery. Android 4.4 KitKat OS will also be pre-installed on the Core 2.
On the other hand, we have the Young 2 and Star 2, two devices that are defenetely aiming the entry level Android market. Both devices are bringing a 3.5 HVGA display, 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB of internal storage, micro SD card slot, a 3 / 2 MP rear facing camera and Android KitKat software. The Galaxy Young 2 isn’t supporting a GPS chip while the Star 2 is coming (as already stated) with a lower camera.
Well, these are the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Ace 4, Galaxy Core 2, Galaxy Star 2 and Galaxy Young 2. Unfortunately the specs are not impressive at all, even if we consider a low price tag for the same – on the market we can already buy more powerful devices on a budget as we can choose between Motorola Moto E, LG Optimus L9 2 and others.
