LG G3 Mini Dual-SIM Variant Called LG G3S Leaks

Even though LG is yet to announce the LG G3 Mini, Evleaks has got his hands on a render of the dual-SIM variant of the smartphone. The photo provided by the famous leaker is more likely a render meant for FCC, but it reveals that the smartphone might hit the market as LG G3S.

It seems that, just like the LG G3 Mini, the G3S is expected to arrive with a 4.5-inch screen with 720 x 1280 resolution, quad-core 1.2GHz processor, most likely a Snapdragon 400 unit, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of native storage, support for microSD cards, and a 5 MP primary camera. It could also arrive with a 2,100 mAh battery, Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box, and a user-facing camera of an unknown resolution.

Anyway, the LG G3S is not expected to debut on the US market as it’s rather focused to the customers in the emerging markets. The dual-SIM support is the first thing that gives away the LG G3S availability. The smartphone will most likely do well in the Asian markets, where customers often use to different SIMs because of bad carrier coverage.

Even though I’ve been a fan of LG’s latest smartphones, I wonder why the South Koreans won’t learn from a company like Sony. The Xperia Z1 Compact mirrors the technical specifications of the Xperia Z1, of course, packing a smaller and a lower resolution display. Why isn’t LG having a similar approach with their G3 Mini?
