Samsung Galaxy Note 4 to Arrive with UV Sensor?

Now that the Samsung Galaxy S5 is available on the market for a while and the excitement over the announcement of the Galaxy S5 Prime is starting to wash out, the media and the fans alike are turning their attention towards the next big release from the South Korean company: the Galaxy Note 4.

After we’ve heard a while ago that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 release date has been set for early September, now we get to hear more about the smartphones internals. According to Sammobile, a publication that has a good record when it comes to reporting about unannounced Samsung products, the Galaxy Note 4 will integrate an ultraviolet sensor.

Earlier this year, Samsung fitted a hear rate monitor on the back of the Galaxy S5, but it looks like the Koreans are planning to continue to develop the health component of their smartphones with this new UV sensor. The aforementioned publication claims that the new sensor will be able to determine whether the UV intex has reached a harmful level and offer recommendations based on it. This basically means that your Note 4 will be able to tell you whether to put sunscreen on.

Of course, the new ultraviolet sensor will be integrated into the S Health app, just like Galaxy S5′s heart rate monitor or the pedometer. It’s not clear yet where the UV sensor will be located.

If the rumors are to be believed, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 would sport a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with Quad HD (2560 x 1440) resolution, 3 GB of RAM, 16 MP primary camera with phase detection autofocus and 4K video recording, and a quad-core Snapdragon 805 / octo-core Exynos 5 CPU.

Sources in the industry suggest that Samsung might release the Note 4 in two display variants: one with a standard flat display and another one with a flexible AMOLED screen.
