The South Korean phone maker has added a new smartphone to their line-up. Samsung Galaxy Star 2 Plus is a low-end handset and it arrives with a hardware platform similar to the one of the Galaxy Star Advance.
But let’s cut the chit chat and have a look at the technical specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Star 2 Plus. The new entry-level smartphone has a 4.3-inch screen with TFT capacitive touch screen. Even though the South Koreans fail to reveal the screen resolution, we strongly believe we’re talking 480 x 800 pixels.
Samsung Galaxy Star 2 Plus is 130.2 mm tall, 67.9 mm wide, 9.8 mm, weighs 138 grams and it’s kept alive by a 1,800 mAh battery. The processing tasks are handled by an unnamed dual-core 1.2 GHz processor, while running Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box. Of course, Samsung applied its TouchWiz interface on top of it.
The new handset comes with support for Dual SIM, has a 3 MP primary camera with LED flash, 3.5 mm headset audio jack, FM radio, and 512 MB of RAM. It also integrates 4 GB of native storage and support for microSD cards up to 32 GB.
Connectivity-wise Samsung Galaxy Star 2 Plus arrives with 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS, and microUSB 3.0.
If you are reading this from India then you should know that you can already get your hands on the new low-end smartphone. The Galaxy Star 2 Plu can be purchased from Samsung eStore at a price of Rs. 7,335. There are no details whether the Star 2 Plus will see an international debut.
