Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet LTE Now Up for Grabs at Verizon, Starting at $499

Sony officially introduced the Xperia Z2 Table back in February at Mobile World Congress 2014 tech fair and the LTE-enabled variant is now available for purchase through Verizon.
The US carrier officially revealed that they will start carrying the Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet LTE as of yesterday at a price of $599.99. Big Red is willing to knock $100 off the price if you agree to sign a two-year contract with them, allowing you to get your hands on the Xperia Z2 Tablet for $499.99. You should also know that you will be able to buy the Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet LTE through Verizon’s Edge program for $29.99 per month.
The Sony Xperia Z2 is a very slim tablet, that 266 x 172 x 6.4 mm and has a weight of 439 grams. It also has an IP58 certification meaning that it’s both dust proof and water resistant over 1 meter and 30 minutes.
The LTE-enabled slate arrives with a 10.1-inch Triluminos display with 1200 x 1920 resolution and 224 ppi pixel density, while being powered by a quad-core 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 801 processor. The technical specifications list also includes 16 GB of native storage expandable using microSD cards up to 64 GB, 3 GB of RAM, 6,000 mAh battery, 8.1 MP primary cam with full HD video recording support, and 2.2 MP secondary cam.
The device runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box, of course, customized with Sony’s proprietary Xperia UI.
