Samsung finally released the Android 4.4 KitKat OTA update for the international model of Galaxy Note 3 Neo. This firmware launch comes rather late as Samsung already made available the same update in Korea for a while now. Anyway, if you are still running your Galaxy Note 3 Neo on stock Android OS, then head towards “menu – settings – about phone – system update” for checking if KitKat is available for you. In case you have rooted your phone and installed it with a custom ROM software, like CM11, AOKP or Paranoid Android, you will have to apply the official Android KitKat OS manually, by using Odin.
In case you have already received the notification for your Note 3 Neo, don’t apply the OTA without using a WiFi connection – don’t use your data plan as the KitKat firmware represent a major OS improvement and you might have to pay for extra network service.
So, that was all for now; don’t forget to share your impressions with us once you test the Android 4.4 KitKat XXUCNG6 OS on your Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo. Also, stay close as we will bring a manual update tutorial soon – then you will be able to learn how to use Odin for updating your Samsung device.
