In case you were having doubts, Motorola will release the Android 5.0 L update for the Moto X even though recently the company only stated that the future major Android update will embrace for sure the Moto E, with no other info related to other devices such as Moto G or Moto X.
Well this info has been provided through Google+ where Motorola’s Punit Soni confirmed that Android L will be coming for Moto X too. Of course the exact roll out will be offered in the future with no precise release date yet announced by Google. As you know there are beta versions of the Android L firmware and you can anytime choose to flash the same on your Android device by updating with a custom ROM – do note that the leaked updates are coming with various bugs and with major lags, so the best will be just to wait for the official launch.
Moto X, like the recently released Moto E, is a mid range Android based device that is currently running on the latest version of KitKat OS thanks to Motorola who is still focusing in providing fast updates as a point of differentiation. In that matter, most likely the Moto G will also receive the Android L firmware, so you won’t be stuck on KitKat once Google makes available its upcoming major OS improvement.
Moto X, Moto G and Moto E are three budget friendly smartphones that provides decent to high end specs and features on really affordable prices. So, in case you want a good looking device, with good performances that gets the latest Android updates just like a Nexus device and if you don’t want to spend all your money for getting your new gadget, then you will probably have to choose Motorola.
Anyway, that was all for now; therefore Moto E, Moto G and Moto X will receive the Android L update though for now there isn’t any info related to the official release date of the new redesigned Android platform.
